Health, Dental and Vision

Medical Insurance: we provide employees and their families, as well as domestic partners, a choice of three comprehensive medical plans, depending on location.

Dental Insurance: we provide a comprehensive PPO dental giving employees the freedom to receive dental care from in-network or out-of-network dentists. The plan covers 100% for diagnostic and preventive care. Coverage for other treatment varies depending on the procedures.

Vision Service Plan: we provide a comprehensive vision plan.  The plan allows for an annual eye examination as well as lenses, frames or contacts every twelve months.

Income Protection Plans

Group Term Life: we provide group term life insurance with a benefit of two times the employee’s annual salary to a maximum of $500,000.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D): we provide AD&D coverage at 2 times your annual salary.

Disability Insurance: we provide both short & long term disability insurance. In addition, 10 sick days are provided each year.

Business Travel Accident Insurance: If traveling abroad on Company business, we provide a complete benefits plan for the duration of your business trip.

Aflac Voluntary Benefit Policies: Employees may purchase additional insurance such as Cancer Care, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Plans which offers financial protection against the potentially high costs of chronic or long-term conditions.

Tax-Savings Benefits

Health Care Flexible Spending Account: this benefit allows employees to put aside pre-tax dollars each month up to the annual IRS limit for use on eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses in tax-free dollars.

Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account: this benefit allows employees to put aside pre-tax dollars each month up to the annual IRS limit for use on eligible dependent care expenses per household in tax-free dollars.

Retirement and Investment Savings Plans

401(k): subject to the limits under the federal law, the Theravance Biopharma 401(k) plan allows employees to contribute up to 50% of their eligible salary on a pre-tax basis or post-tax under the ROTH 401(k) option with the “catch-up” benefit available to those age 50+. Theravance Biopharma offers a 50% match up to a maximum of $5,000.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP): the ESPP is an opportunity for eligible employees to purchase Theravance Biopharma common stock at a discounted rate of 15%. Contributions toward the ESPP, which can be up to 15% of eligible pay, are done through payroll deductions. The terms of the ESPP Plan are subject to the Internal Revenue Code 423.

Vacation and Holiday

We offer three weeks accrued paid vacation and 10 sick days per year.  We recognize a number of paid company holidays per year, including a summer and year-end shutdown.

Corporate Wellness: we offer a corporate wellness program that includes a variety of health and wellness initiatives such as an on-site gym, on-site massage, on-site chiropractor, yearly free flu shots, weekly fresh fruit delivery, weekly yoga class and financial and health related seminars.
